So many new ads for Seattle apartment rentals on Craigslist to cruise. Could be that I never slept, and I just keep looking at the same fucking 2 bedroom rambler ad. WHAT IS A RAMBLER??? It hurts today. The Boston Marathon is magical. For one thing like the whole City gets the day off to go watch and so many do year after year. The only time I had to work was the year I was employed by an accountant, yeesh for tax day.

My friends were all there in the crowds today, and are all home safe as far as I know.

Watching marathoners cross a finish line makes me sob. What an incredible achievement a run like that is, I can’t even imagine doing something that physically demanding myself, but watching non-professional athletes do it? Watching people who aren’t getting paid endorsements achieve a feat like that KILLS me! At the start of the race watching on TV I get chills and by the time people are finishing, and I’m downtown feeling the crowd absorb the tired and respond with enthusiasm and support for strangers? I’m such a mess, full body sobs. Human Beings! Am I right? Today was a day of great human highs and great human lows. I’m so struck by the response and empathy I see all around me on the internet. I needed that today because folks in California are too damn far away today to feel the magic or the impact the blast will have. BOSTON! I feel you on your day today, and my heart hurts.
